Joe spent time between Northern California and South Florida since the age of 5. He became interested in photography and design through the work of Art Brewer, David Carson, Man Ray, and Tibor Kalman. During summer vacations, Joe began documenting white water culture on the American River in the Sierra Nevada. San Francisco became home in 1991 where he began photographing for advertising, editorial and catalog clients. Joe and his wife enjoy raising their creative little girl by the ocean.
